: The idea of molding a glass hull off a strip hull has been discussed here
: before. Don't recall if anyone did it and found it satisfactory.
: Sounds risky to me but I've always been overly protective about what I built.
I saw a catalog from We-no-nah canoes a few years back. They had an article in there featuring one of the people who designed some of their canoes. The photo of him showed him standing in front of the pine strip-built plug of one of his designs. As I recall, the article mentioned that he made the plugs, which were used to make molds. Of course they say that as you age your memory is the third thing you lose, so maybe I have some of this confused.
