Hi Bill,
As I understand how others do it, (not many practioners in Tasmania) you strip up to and over the centreline of the forms on one side of the bottom. Then before you strip the other side of the bottom, you cut back to the centreline on the stripped side so that you have a straight line against which to work.
You can do it an other way. You more or less fit both sides as you go and close the bottom. Then cut a 1/4 inch groove (or whatever you like/need) down the centre line with a fence, router and straight bit, and put a feature strip in. That way you get more room to play with individual strips and more room for error.
