Do you really want your feet and legs to be that vertical? I wear a size 10.5 and my Guillemot footbraces seem perfectly placed approximately 1 inch below the shear line. You might consider sitting with your heals more towards the center, toes slanted outwards at approximately 45 degrees from vertical. I also never get numb legs in this position, presumably due to better thigh support with knees wider apart.
