I have built both S&G and stripper Night Herons. I am 6', 180# and size 11 1/2 feet. I place, pad and use the front bulkhead for a foot rest. This somewhat limits others paddling your kayak, but that's life. The S&G has lots of foot room. I built the standard heighth deck style of the stripper and there is enough foot room for both of us! Nick gives the option in the plans to build a low deck version and if I built another I would probably try that one. The main point is that any model you choose would seem to fit. And they are such a delight to paddle that I cannot see any other kayak except for extended touring, then I use my trusty Cirrus hybrid.
