: My wife and I are thinking of a trip of a week or two in Nova Scotia this
: summer. Looking for suggestions from those of you who have been there as
: to where we should go. Camping vs motel vs B&B isn't a big deal, maybe
: some of each if we decide to move around a bit. I'd like to put in lots of
: kayaking (I prefer coastal islands, etc., over protected harbors and will
: be bringing my strip Night Heron, of course)and lots of cycling (road or
: mountain bike/single-track), and possibly some hiking as well. We're
: thinking of south and southeast portions of NS for hopefully warm weather,
: but other parts of the maritimes would be OK if highly recommended.

Hi Roger,Dunromin Campground on the Annapolis River is very nice, The Ovens campground in Lunenburg is beautiful, it is named for its caves in the cliffs best seen from a kayak, might also want to try Mahone Bay during thier Wooden Boat Festival in August, dozens of little offshore islands and a picture postcard town. All three have websites you should have no trouble finding, I live within an hour of all three and have been to them all, any other questions you might have I would be happy to answer and would'nt turn down the chance to see that Night Heron as it will be my next project.
