I use a nailgun. When I fit a strip I press a small piece of wood on top af the strip, and put a nail through the smaller piece into the forms. That doesnt make holes in my strips, and reduces the amount of clamps needed.
It doesnt work that well everywhere, and sometimes I put a small vedge between the smaller pieces and the strip to get enough pressure. In all cases it is a way to quickly mount the strip in place, then I check for pressure afterwards.
