In Response To: Epoxy: What's the lowest temp? (Charles Leach)
Charles. I have worked with west epoxy as low as minus -20c and used heat lamps to keep the epoxy "warm" enough to cure in 3 to 4 days. This was gluing woods in off season yacht repair without access to heated space. The stuff will cure even below freezing but doing good work and glassing really needs 10c or warmer to be able to work effectivly . The west epoxy is just too thick to work with at lower temps for laminating glass. The compensation is a great pot life/working time.
