Thank you for your well written and entertaining response; and especially for the ampification on the preparation for fiber glassing considering the sealer coat.
I expect that I will stain very early, add the sealer coat, then several weeks later actually get to the fiberglassing. In any event I think I would not be able to seal; stitch and fillet; attach the deck; and then fiber glass within 72 hours.
:I thought twice about staining;
: not only is it a super pain to keep touching up spots while building, but
: the label contains the following words which helped me change my mind:
: DANGER! POISON! FATAL, BLINDNESS, SKIN NOSE THROAT IRRITATION, PERMANENT
: BRAIN DAMAGE, FLASHFIRE.
As I got to FLASHFIRE I found myself trying to imagine what human malady that is!
:Also, try replacing the ROS with a cabinet scraper.
I must now find out what a cabinet scraper is, but I too find power too stress increasing.
: check out featherweight boatbuilding.
:Anybody can make a heavy boat, and our first one usually was...
Boat two and three of our summer's work lost five pounds each over the previous boat.
