You would be suprised. You can do it, but wear a respirator (one meant for chemical filtering). Then leave until it sets, come back, open some windows and air the place out for an hour (turn the heat off during this time). It will make a big difference in your later life. I have heard of people getting epoxy allergies from similiar situations. I epoxied a model airplane seaplane hull and had to open windows in that room. It smelled like epoxy in the house for days.
