Hello, I just received the plans for the Guillemot Play and I have started cutting the forms. The paper that is, not the actual plywood forms. On page 2/6 of the plans is a drawing of all the forms stacked with the left side representing the stern, and the right side representing the bow (the normal drawing of a kayak from both ends).
The rest of the pages have the outlines (with numbers) for the forms with registration and sheerlines.
The numbers seem to be backward... I mean that form 1 on page 4/6 matches form 16 on page 2 and #16 on page 4 matches #1 on page 2. This is true of all the forms I have cut so far.
Did I miss something in the directions ?
On the Play, the rear deck is lower/flatter than the front deck. But the numbered forms look like the forward deck is flatter. This is assuming that #1 is near the bow which is what the end forms state.
It is easy to just change the form numbers but I want to make sure I'm not loosing my mind and reading this all wrong ;-)
Thanks
Paul
Ps - Ice has formed on the Hudson River, ending the paddling season for my friends and I. Hopefully the 2005 season will start soon, but it doens't look like it !
