: When you are wetting out your glass, how much epoxy do you mix at once?
I used the calibrated disposable plastic cups method and found it the best idea since they sliced the bread for you. I think that Mr.Ross Leidy has the method at his web site, blue heron kayaks or something similar. I mixed about 3/4 of a cup at a time, of the WEST SYSTEM using the summer grade of hardener 205?. The temperature was about 16C I managed to keep the work rate very steady, and can recommend using a decent sized spreader, and a steel ribbed roller. I started with an old credit card, and finished with a small window cleaner (we call them squeegees in New Zealand). I could have used an assistant to mix batches as I went along, but none were available. I did have a foam rubber roller to try and assist with the wet out but it got chucked out the door when it got too hot to touch and the smoke was comming out as well which is a bad sign for anything. Thats my 2 cents worth for what it's worth.
