Another great thing about Christmas....paddling with Mom.

My mother came down for a week and we were fortunate enough to get some nice weather (@70 air and the water is still above 70). Mom had followed the construction of both of my Kayaks over the past couple of years. She said she wanted to try. Well she was a canoe instructor 50+ years ago (and she told me we should be wearing our pfd's...) She did a great job. The large cockpit I made in the Great Auk really came in handy for a "senior" paddler....the knees don't quite work like they used to...
