Hey, now those were two excellent images of doing it right. Way to go, mom. My mom is 70-yrs old and I plan on getting her in a kayak next summer. I've already given her notice that she will be joining me on a warm day.

I am soooo living in the wrong part of North America. Look at that will you, not only do you have liquid water BUT you also have green vegetation. Ok, ok, I get to do cross-country skiing and it can be a very beautiful sport to participate in and I can ski on top of the lakes I paddle in when they are melted. Ok, I also get to have a Hot Toddy after a cold ski, so I guess there are some advantages to being way up here in nanookland. Ok, so why does it strike such a deep chord in my paddling heart when I see such excellent pictures of folks enjoying summer-like conditions? I gotta start thinking of becoming a Snowbird.
