Astronomers Love 'Em! *LINK* *Pic*
In Response To: Off Topic: Green Lasers? (Thomas Duncan)
Green lasers are the greatest thing since Pyrex to us amateur astronomer types. We use 'em to point out stars and such when endeavoring to explain sky locations, etc. Some guys are even using them to aim their telescopes. Fantastic for public star parties, when folks ask you where the object they've been looking at through your telescope actually is in the sky. You just point right to it and everybody understands instantly.
My club email listserv has already had someone post the question of how long it will be before some astronmer gets a little visit from the Department of Homeland Security?
Cheers! Kurt
