I am proud that the Canadian Government is responding in the usual Canadian manner to help the tsunami victims. Although I can't do much personally, I know Canada, my country, is always there when help needs to be given. I have no concept of just what these people are going through having never experienced anything like it before. But I do know what suffering feels like, so I know they are hurting badly. CNN posted dozens of emails from people who were there and fought for their lives or the lives of others who got caught in that terrible and overpowering maelstrom of watery death. Through those accounts I was able to relate in a more emotional way.

I don't know what to say other than my prayers go out to those who suffer. I'll do what I can from here but it won't be the same as it would be if I was there.
