Your brother isn't a friend of Steve Dair or Gordy Elliott is he? Steve is now a sailmaker with his own loft in Long Beach/Harbor City, affiliated with Elliot/Pattison sails, I think and Gordy went off to be a boatbuilder in Bremerton. All this was way back in the early 70's and I only have a scattered contact with Dair these days.
