S&G: black epoxy for deck seams?

Has anyone tried using black pigment in the epoxy for their deck seams? I was thinking it could look great. However, since the contrast between the wood and black would be quite significant, I wonder if it would really accentuate any variances in seam width. A search on this BB showed that other people had this concern too.
I would like to hear from anyone that has tried this, and what their thoughts are (did you spend a lot of time perfecting the seams?). Pictures would be great too. BTW, I'm building a pygmy tern14.
thanks
