This would only work if you were using the tinted epoxy as the glue between the strips, you used square edged strips, and the epoxy did not drip awy and leave a mess. Or, if you had a very fine paint brush and painted on all these skinny lines. Most people use some other type of glue, like carpenters yellow or white glue, or titebond, If you want to add a pigment to that then you might have better results. If you use bead and cove strips you'll get very erratic lines.
