In Response To: S&G: black epoxy for deck seams? (Doug Smith)

: Has anyone tried using black pigment in the epoxy for their deck seams? I was
: thinking it could look great. However, since the contrast between the wood
: and black would be quite significant, I wonder if it would really
: accentuate any variances in seam width. A search on this BB showed that
: other people had this concern too.

: I would like to hear from anyone that has tried this, and what their thoughts
: are (did you spend a lot of time perfecting the seams?). Pictures would be
: great too. BTW, I'm building a pygmy tern14.

: thanks

Hi,
Might be interesting to experiment with Titebond III and possibly adding a little black liquid tint to it. Check out past postings regarding Titebond III.
