The fact that the seams are built on "end grain" and that you do use wood dust as filler for a number of them makes the seam lines pretty dark already. Not black but a very nice brown.

No reason I can think of not to add some black pigment to the dust/epoxy mix - except that it might bleed into the surrounding wood. At the very least I'd be taping the seams to minimize that.

Would look cool, I think. I'd be worried about something not going as expected and ending up with an odd looking seam. Try it on the hull seams first. You never see those. If it all goes well then you can probably trust the deck seams to be even better because of the practice on the hull.

Built a T14 and a T17. Did much better on the T17 seams becuase it was my second boat. Do spend as much time as needed to get things lined up just right and the seams are pretty even. A number of people think the seams are pinstriped. :^)
