Thanks for your response Chuck. I just searched the archive and found your post with the pic of your boat. It is really nice.

I live in upstate NY, about the center of the state. I do have a kinda plan to see and perhaps paddle the merganser (shearwater) next month. The plan is a bit complicated because it involves a family trip to Washington DC. I think it will go like this: "honey, Annapolis is really close, do you mind if I go to CLC Boats for a couple of hours...?"

Hey, I noticed in your previous post that you mentioned "expedition layup". I like the sound of that. What is involved in this type of build?
