: We are looking to move (from Poughkeepsie, NY), and have been trying to
: figure out where to move to. We are not fixed in one place by my job (I

If you want to live in North America

Live in Toronto, paddle in 30,000 Islands on Georgian Bay Lake Huron, Bruce Peninsula,
Georgian Bay, Lake Ontario, Thousand Islands in the St. Lawrence.

Plus, southern Ontario has many lakes and the Trent]Severen waterway.

All that paddling in the same distances you're traveling now to reach paddling points.

Toronto, is deemed the most cosmopolitan city in the world by the UN.

Murders per year, I can't remember whether they're still counting these on one hand or two.

I love Maine, the paddling's great. But the whole coast has 3,500 islands. Nice,
but Georgian Bay has 30,000 islands and you can stop and camp on 25,000 of them.

You can paddle in the shelter of islands when the small craft warning are out. Or, you
can paddle in 4 meter waves if you like.

And if you like a government for the people instead of for the corporations well, there you go.

We thought about moving there, but I have family there.
