That's dedication. I did the same thing the last time I went fishing. I had a hard time leaving the fish biting. Wind and lightning made the paddle back to the launch interesting. As soon as I got to the launch, the bottom fell out.
You need to get to work on the Merlin. I ordered the plans for the Robb White Sport Boat last week. If I build that before you finish the Merlin, I will start to worry about you.
