Sorry for going quiet for a couple of days, 17 hour days at work :-(

Henk is right that I'm discussing with Martijn, who has shown me how to highlight developability issues on the main views of the models even when no such issues show up on the panel development view - which they don't, with resolution set to high. (At very high there is a tiny patch highlighted on that view).

So Delftship is clear that the design is not *perfectly* developable. However, the areas it highlights on my model just don't account for the problems I actually saw. The highlighing suggests the side panels are the main problem. Setting up stations and taking measurements shows very clearly that in real life they are *not* a significant problem: they produce a shape very lose to that designed. The bottom panels were the problem, in areas Delftship did not highlight.

However, see my other reply to the ToniV and Mike Allen thread, whre there are som very interesting results that to my mind seem a lot better explanation of what's going on.

Again, I am not trying, to 'knock' Delftship at all, just sharing and discussing experiences so others don' make the same mistakes I have.
