After thinking about my use of my old digital camera, and what I liked about it and didn't like, I've decided to go with a non-waterproof camera, Canon S3 and then look at a waterproof bag for those times I'll actually take the camera with on the boat

The Mavica always had a 10x lens and I really enjoy that, just wanted a better quality sensor, the Sony has a .31 megapixel sensor (just a little out of date) but works ok for online work, it never though had great resolution. The Canon while not at the current standard of 10-12 megapixel has a 6 megapixel and is a whole lot less money than those with the current standards and still has a lens that is 10x. And....it's big enough that my fairly large hands can actually hold it, most of these tiny cameras now out I'd lose overboard in an instant
