Hello Brian - I built a bluefin in late 2005 - early 2006, and really enjoyed that process. The boat handled well - quick/responsive to leans etc, though it weathercocked enough that I eventually added a retractable skeg that helped a lot. The cockpit however proved to be somewhat too small for me - I'm 5'10 - 200 lbs and I couldn't seem to get comfortable no matter what I tried with knee/thigh pads/seat arrangement etc, so I put it up for sale and a friend of mine bought the boat this spring, and he really loves it. We refer to it as the stealth kayak given it's angular looks and sleak profile. He's taking it with me/5 other friends on a week long camping trip saturday, thought he's wondering if he'll have enough storage. Prior to my adding the skeg, I had it out on a week long trip last fall and had enough space for my gear (I'm a lightweight backpacker so I can minimize pretty well when needed). I live in Minnesota, thus haven't had it on the Atlantic so can't help you there.
