How many out there have a copy of The Stripper's Gude on their bookshelf? I got mine 25 years ago when I saw a wooden canoe and dreamed of the day I would build my own. I'm away from home for a few more months so I can't help you with the plans. Two sets of plans are provided and I remember being told that one was a great boat and the other was a barge. Thank you for setting me right on which is the one to build.
: The grandaddy of strip building books is "The Stripper's Guide to Canoe
: Building" by David Hazen. I've heard a well known canoe expert praise
: Hazen's design called "Micmac". Hazen's book includes fill size
: patterns which are worth whatever the book costs.
