I wanted to post a picture to show the progress of my skin-on-(ply)frame version of the Igdlorssuit kayak.

I have completed the stitching of the 8 oz nylon from G.Dyson. I used the Morris method, with a weedwhacker line It was cheap, er, inexpensive, readily available, and came in several thicknesses, and colours !! I will be tinting the poly yellow, so I chose the yellow weedwhacker line.
Frame weighs about 15 lbs, and skinned it is a little under 20 lbs.

I will (hopefully) have an oak coaming after the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed that this late summer weather continues for another week or two, at least, so I can have warm weather for shrinking the skin and sealing with the poly.
