: was looking for something similar long time ago, rub strip but not for
: kayaks, resolved with a rubber edging for forniture.
: Short than calling a manufacturer close to you and ask where they get them
: from maybe automotive and forniture rubber trims can be adapted.
: to give you a few links
: http://www.trimlok.com
: maybe you can stumble upon the perfect gasked for hatches while hunting
: around.
: If they have just a decorative/minor protection did you think about visiting
: an upholstery store, get an heavy "ribbon" and set it in place?
: maybe even rubberize it with some Plastidip?
I started looking around, after I'd asked here (dummy), and realized that what I was looking for isn't what I needed. The "rubber" strip is actually a H molding used to join a glass hull and deck.
Good idea on the furniture edging, hadn't thought about that
