I've not tried it, but am always willing to experiment, only real way to learn if things work or not
We use it to hold rope gaskets to boilers at work before the ends are closed up after inspection. Even after a year of repeated heating/cooling cycles the glue usually holds firm and this is on rope which isn't easy to glue.
