Erin,
Most of us skin boat folks use ballistic nylon, some use polyester but it doesn't stretch much and is harder to get tight, and a few are using canvas. The 2 part urethane that Corey sells is great, a bit difficult to use, has a glossy finish, and doesn't tint well, hence the dying of the skin. A lot of us use an oil base polyurethane varnish such as ZAR or a oner part clear urethane like Dura tuff. Those can be tinted with artists dry pigment or oil piments. I have also used marine polyurethane paint. The canvas guys seem to use oil base paint. It's all good, just depends on what you are trying to achieve in the end.
: Thanks everyone! Dave, I went to Corey's site and it anwered all my
: questions. I was just curious when I saw the boats because I had not run
: across that before.
