At least a couple guys have built hybrid (S&G with stripped deck) Point Bennetts. It is quite doable. You will need to make a temporary bulkhead every 12 to 16 inches to form the strip deck. I cambered 1/4 of the plywood deck on my PB. It turned out to be an effort but turned out nice. I would do a strip deck before doing the cambered deck. Duane has been very generous with his designs.
