Thanks very much, Bill & Tony. Good news that I can make myself fit into it! Looks like I'll be busy this afternoon then :-) I often see a fair few people in canoes in the area I tend to go so I'll see if I can strike up some conversation with some of them and try to pick up some tips. I'll also look into getting some float bags as well - I saw some when browsing the net yesterday so I know what you mean.
