This issue of fitting the ends makes good sense. I skirt this problem altogether by routing the peak and keel lines to take a fairly wide strip of wood with no beads/coves. That wasn't the original intention tough. I just like to avoid fitting the ends of the strips together because it's so tedious and potentially frustrating. I got tight, clean-looking seams this way and I like the look of the super straight centerline.

What I wonder about is the quality of fit between strips after it's all been sanded down. I milled mine to 0.20" to allow good fits but in some areas where there is more twisting and bending the glue lines show up just a little more conspicuously. I have a hard time imagining that beveling is so straightforward and easy to do if I want the gluelines to look absolutely perfect even after epoxy is applied. Do you guys really get it all looking super tight?
