Hi Bill,
Even double-diagonal would be easier to make a mold than his method. He probably just stuck with what he was used to.

I had thought of making a fairing for my trike but I don't go that fast to need one and at slower speeds it would be just extra weight. Maybe a small wind splitter over the pedals, it would keep my feet dry.
