I just put the saturation coat on the hull of my Pygmy Osprey Standard. The picture below shows a black area on one of the panels that might be mold or something like that. It didn't show up until I put the epoxy saturation coat on it. This panel is the shear panel and the black area will be right near the bow hatch. I called Pygmy but being Columbus Day, I don't think they're in the office. I also sent them an e-mail with the picture.
I wanted to start glassing the hull tomorrow after the epoxy cures, but don't want this black area on the kayak. Has anyone had any experience with something like this?
What are my options? Do I have to get a new panel from Pygmy and take the black one off (ouch)?
