: Nice looking boat. So what's the difference in the handling between the two?
: Somehow I had gotten the impression that they handled the same.
The two models share a great deal in design, but the Golden is shorter, has more rocker, and is fuller in the ends. Compared to my King, my limited experience in the Golden is that it is much quicker to turn, looser tracking, catches waves easier, and somewhat slower in a flat water sprint. All of these are consistent with the differences in hull shape. Having a low back deck makes it less suitable for camping, but great for rolling. The King is a great boat. I'm confident that the Golden will also be great, but more of a play boat.
