I just measured my Happy Bottom seat. This thing is made with a center section, and two "wings" on the sides, the wings can pivot up and down on a thin hinge of material.
The center seat part is 15" at the back side, 16.5" at the front side. The wings extend about an additional 5.5" out. The seat is about 1" thick at its thinnest point at the center. The length of the seat is about 12".
I plan to cut the hinges and mount the side panel separately. The bottom of the seat is pretty flat, so I plan to remove material from the sides of the bottom to help it conform better to the curved bottom of my 22" wide kayak.

If anyone need any other dimensions on the seat, just ask.
