: The King is a very capable boat in big water and rough weather, but at your
: size it could be a bit much when things get tough. Something smaller and
: more nimble is often better than a full size touring boat, so I'm building
: the Golden for exactly those conditions. Look at all the experienced
: paddlers using boats like Romany's and Avocets in waves and current. The
: Golden falls right in with that group. A small King might work out as
: well, but I've never seen or paddled one.

: Check out the photo taken two weeks ago at Cape Flattery, Washington. Seven
: of us (including two Kings and a Silver) had a great day messing around
: the caves and rocks. It hard to see at the scale shown, but three kayakers
