: I just measured my Happy Bottom seat. This thing is made with a center
: section, and two "wings" on the sides, the wings can pivot up
: and down on a thin hinge of material.
: The center seat part is 15" at the back side, 16.5" at the front
: side. The wings extend about an additional 5.5" out. The seat is
: about 1" thick at its thinnest point at the center. The length of the
: seat is about 12".
: I plan to cut the hinges and mount the side panel separately. The bottom of
: the seat is pretty flat, so I plan to remove material from the sides of
: the bottom to help it conform better to the curved bottom of my 22"
: wide kayak.
