Btw, I've not tried this, but years ago I got some samples of Lexan film, stuff is increadably tough, very light and the clear colored ones were optically clear. (also comes opaque in many colors) Might be an interesting way to cover a boat. Have no idea where you'd find it though. This stuff is much stiffer than a material like vinyl so the surfaces would have to be developable I'd assume for this stuff to cover it.
