Hi John,

Oops, most beach cats have pivoting masts just sitting on the step, usually on a plastic bearing of some sort. So disconnecting any of the shrouds allows it to fall free, depending on the water depth (did that once and stuck the mast in the mud bottom, really icky mess ).
