Sure. I bought a small tube (37 ml/ 1.3fl.oz.) of pebeo fine oil colour for artists. It was the cheapest one there, at $2 or $3 Canadian (that must be $5 or $10 US sorry. y'all.....couldn't resist the dig

I ended up using less than half the tube. For the first coat, I added a very small amount of the yellow to a plastic yoghurt container and added a little varnish and mixed it 'really' well. Then added more varnish to this 'paste-like' mixture, using about a pint for the first coat. The first coat was pretty blotchy, but I was advised that this was ok, and that successive coats would even out. And they did. The final two coats were more heavily tinted. I honestly sort of lost track but I think there are 7 coats on the hull, and 6 on the deck. It seems 'good enough'. I used cheap foam brushes from the $1 store (maybe 10 per pack) so no cleaning.
