I would be concerned about the setup time for the surfboard stuff, I know that surfboard makers are all about production for the most part and I would be worried that the setup time would be really fast as compared to the hardeners that boat builders use. I would definatly do a control test for color, consistency, usable batch time, and cure times and also check for any blush between the surfboard stuff and the material you're using now. I would run some tests on wood and also some fiberglass tests and see how it turns out. I think if it seems to good to be true than it usually is, but ya never know until ya try.
