Gentlemen,
My name is Gerald Lapuz, chief chemist and CEO of Polymer Composites Inc.; also doing business as PolymerProducts' The Epoxy Experts' on eBay. I was made aware of this discussion board and would like to introduce who we are and clarify a few points that were noted on this discussion thread.
First and foremost, our facility is located in Ontario California and not in Ontario, Canada. Nonetheless, we have exported many of the products that we sell on eBay to Canada and other countries worldwide.
PCI has been in the business of formulating epoxy based resin systems for over 15 years. Our core business is in manufacturing of custom formulated epoxy resin systems and other thermosetting polymers used in industrial, commercial and aerospace defense industry. We also have a strong presence in emerging polymer technology such UV curing polymers, Air Quality Compliant and nanotechnology coatings.
Several years ago we began our eBay venture and it became our “direct to user” sales outlet for our custom formulated products. It seems the general public had limited access to these specialty formulations and had to settle for ‘off the shelf “products that provided less than best performance for specific applications.
Since this forum is specific to kayaks and marine vessels of the same nature, our MAX CLR-HP and MAX BOND Low Viscosity are two products that will be relevant to my response.
The MAX CLR product line is a specially engineered resin system that provides an excellent balance of mechanical performance and aesthetic properties. Several aspects that denote this product from our competitors epoxy system is its excellent color stability, durability, water resistance and ease of use. The engineering behind this product comes from our many years of formulating high chemical resistant coatings while maintaining high visual properties such as color stability and high gloss.
The MAX BOND Low Viscosity is a product that provides excellent mechanical properties and specifically formulated for structural construction suitable for boat building applications. This formulation belongs to the epoxy/polyamide combination that in the past was a very difficult product to work with due to its high viscosity. MAX BOND Low Viscosity is a plasticizer free formulation (nonyl phenol and benzyl alcohol are also know marine pollutants) that has been used by hundreds of our customers from simple bonding applications to structural marine grade composite reinforcement.
Please view our free eBay help page, where I have posted many technical bulletins, instructional videos and many “How To Videos”. Many of these photographs have been donated by actual customers that have used our products. Here is the link for your review.

I am available for free consultations regarding all manners of epoxy resins and cordially invite you to view our product offerings.
Thank you for your consideration.
