: Gerald,
: I would like to say 'Thank you' for the informative post you have provided in
: answering Paul's questions.
: I wonder if it might be possible for you to provide a small amount of product
: to one or two of this forum's more experienced builders, for the purpose
: of laying up some 'sample' panels. I think there may be a few people here
: who would be interested in hearing comments made by some 'veteran
: builders' on the use of your product - ease of use, clarity, etc.....
: I will leave it to those with experience to 'volunteer' to do the testing!!
: (Nick, Rob, Jay,......) not meant to offend anyone not mentioned

: mostly lurker, sometimes poster, NEVER used epoxy
Hello Kelly,
Thank you for the very kind words and it was my pleasure. One aspect I have noticed about kayak builders is that they take the process of its construction with great pride and passion. In that respect, I do not think small samples will do so I would like to offer one better yet; I would like to provide to this forum enough epoxy resin and fiberglass to build a (one, uno, unus, eins itze, isa,) kayak for the purpose of testing and evaluation of our products.
My last construction took about 10 yards of fiberglass (Hexcel style 7781) and 5 to 7 gallons of epoxy resin of various formulations, so my offer extends to this amount.
Nothing like an old fashioned field experiment….
I am not sure how to conduct this offer so I will leave it up to this forum's moderators and to you (since you introduce the offer) to elect the lucky 'guinea pig', I meant experienced builder ;-).
And as you noted, no lurkers please.
All I ask for is an unbiased and concise report on that person's experience in using our materials and detailed photo diary of its construction.
I am sure all can benefit from this exercise... me providing material and composite fabricating techniques and this group’s collective expertise in its construction. Hopefully learn from the shared the results.
I have done several field experiements and collaborative effrots and a collection of the photo diary can be seen at our photosharing site;

Although not entirely related to kayak building this is my favorite one:

So before I go any further let me know if this of interest to this group and contact me directly by email polymercomposites@msn.com and proceed from there.
Thanks again.
