Go with what Rob, Mike and Kent said. Mahogany that size is about as rare as you can get. Very valuable.
Selling some to finance a few kayaks would be the better way to go.
If you want an idea of its value, post on any fo the fine woodworking sites.
Be careful, though, it might start a bidding war.
There's artisans that would name their first-born after you just to buy what you've got, even if it had to be by deed poll.
