Two things to keep in mind. 1) If you ever want to use a compass you need to work out how close it can be to the front hatch. I didn't and pretty much have to have the compass in my lap, not real effective. and 2) You need to be very sure the magnets are sealed. They will rust if any salt water gets in. I did what I thought was a good enough job, and I do have some experience with fiberglass. It wasn't and the repair raised the hatch slightly and caused the gasket surface to be rougher than it was originally so the hatches leak slightly now. They still sure look good from the outside though. Good Luck
