: Hello All,
: I will be ready to start glassing the hull this weekend and I will be using
: RAKA epoxy. The garage I am using can get up to about 60 deg. and I will
: be using a 6 oz cloth. Is this warm enough to get a clear wet out?
One thing I have found working with epoxy is it flows and saturates fiberglass much better at 90 degrees than 65 or 70 degrees. The difference is very significant, you feel much higher viscosity when you stir it when cold. Though it might work OK at colder temps, you will probably get a better job with higher temperature. I have an radiant heater mounted to project onto my work area that I think helps when the garage is cool. Do what you can to make the epoxy warm when you start. I keep mine near the water heater and bring it to the garage after mixing it.
