In doing some flush maroske type fittings on my last build I accidentally bought surgical latex tubing not realizing I was supposed to get the low friction plastic stuff and when the epoxy hardened It was stuck as could be and I had to get needle nose pliers and rip it to shreds to get it all out. I don't know if would work for you, but that stuff will bond with epoxy pretty well but the question is whether its sturdy and low friction enough to work on this application.

: Bryan, I believe you will find a contradiction there - tubes with low
: friction, such as vacuum tubing are not glueable with anything, and those
: that are glueable have to much friction for the wire to run smoothly. In
: my experience the answer is to use low friction tubing and 1. scratch the
: tube with a rough sandpaper to provide mechanical grip or 2. use pneumatic
: tubing and fittings (as the skeg on Rockpool Kayaks) - the metal fittings
: glued to the skeg box, preferably also used through bulkheads.
